He is Mukesh Chand Mathur, or simply called Mukesh, who won the National Film in India for Best Male Playback Singer (1974).
He started his career as a playback singer since Motilal, his distant relative, found him sang at his sister’s wedding. Motilal as an actor felt interesting and invited Mukesh to the Bollywood’s door. In his journey, Mukesh had been incised the ink of history in the playback singer’s world. He was known as “The Man with the Golden Voice”.
