Today is a special day for every people in the world, since today is happened only once in every four years. Today is exist only in a leap year. In our common years, February only has 28 days. However, in a leap year, February has 29 days. This day is added to complete the full revolution time of the earth. According to the theory, the earth takes 365.2422 days to make a complete orbit to the sun. However, the common Gregorian calendar only has 365 days a year. To complete the calculation, we put one day addition in every four years. Then we choose February, which is the only month has 28 days, because the self ego of Roman Caesar: Julius Caesar and Augustus. Before the era of Julius Caesar, every month has 30 or 31 days. The July, when the Julius born, has 30 days and the February itself has 30 days. To honor himself, Julius add a day for July and take it from the next month, August. So, August’s days are reduced from 30 to 29. When Augustus become a caesar, he also want the extra days in his birth month. He, then, put the extra 2 days for August so the August has 31 days. By his ego, he took this two days from February. So that, February has only 28 days from the 30 days. Finally, this calendar is used until today. However, the Gregorian calendar that we use today still not a perfect calendar. We still need some adapt in every certain period to make it real with the earth’s orbit.
