Nowadays, television is one of the proper thing which is spread all over the world. There is, at least, a television in almost every modern house in the world. So, please take a few time this morning to see your magic box. What kind of television do you have? LED TV, LCD TV, or Plasma TV? Or, maybe, some of you still use cathode ray tube television. However, no matter what kind of television in your house, did you ever think the first journey of commercial television? You may think that the electronic-scan tube television is the first commercial television in the world. You opinion is not really wrong, but also not too right. Before the electronic-scan tube television, we have a mechanical television or also know as televisor. The device, was demonstrated firstly by John Logie Baird, relies on a scanning device and a receiver. The scanning device is a rotating disk with holes in it or a rotating mirror. This part works to scan the scene and generate the video signal. Then, the receiver will display the picture. The televisor is refers to the receiver part. This mechanical television was intended to be a commercial television in 1920, but this plan didn’t work well. Mechanical television was not too simple to use and became not too popular. Then, in 1930, the electronic-scan television was released and was more acceptable by the customer.
